I've previously shown the 2016 recipient of the Roberto Clemente Award, Curtis Granderson.
Here is the 2017 recipient.
Anthony Rizzo
You may recall that I wrote a piece on Collecting Cutch how much I like Rizzo despite him being a player on a division rival.
Rizzo is a player I root for because of his off field actions.
Many players say that one of the best awards they can win is the Roberto Clemente Award because it reflects on them as a person, not an athlete. Rizzo was similarly happy to win the award.

Card #14: Immortalized
In addition to adding Roberto Clemente and Andrew McCutchen cards on a regular basis I am also in search of cameos of either.
Over on Collecting Cutch I showed a photo variant of Andrew's 2016 Opening Day variant with the Roberto Clemente trophy in front of him.
I decided that through the Topps Now program releasing the awards I would pick up the recipient of the Roberto Clemente Award each year.
The 2016 recipient was Curtis Granderson of the New York Mets.
The back of the card details the history of the award and the recipient's impact on the community.
