Getting a piece of cardboard from a magazine called RBI is no difference. In 1992 the first issue was produced. Many of the uncut cards from the magazine can still be found for around $5 or less. Griffey, Thomas, Gwynn, Ryan are all pretty big names and all have Stadium Club style photography, but this image of Clemente sliding into third base might be the best of the bunch.
The back of the card looks similar to a 60s style Topps card complete with comic and stats.
Cool Clemente. Always enjoy adding a new magazine card to the collection. Looks like I have another one (the Gwynn) to chase.
ReplyDeleteThe back of the Gwynn has a cartoon of Shamu on it which is pretty cool of itself. I've seen them as low as $1.50 shipped.
